Welcome to the Youth Tri-Nations Cup 2025, where the best junior anglers from South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the USA showcase their fishing skills in their annual international competition.

Proudly presented by South African Bass Angling Association, this event will be hosted at Loskop Dam, South Africa from the 8th to 12th of December 2025.

Loskop Dam Insights: From Nathan Wickham

“The average bass coming out of Loskop Dam is already impressive - around 1.2 to 1.5kg - and with the current South African largemouth bass record of 7.19kg (15.85lb) coming from these waters, the potential for a true trophy is always there. With multiple 5kg and 6kg bass coming from Loskop regularly, it's a favorite dam for many anglers!

Loskop responds incredibly well to finesse techniques, so the anglers who are confident fishing subtly - and who know how to use their electronics wisely - could find themselves at a real advantage. This time of year can make the fish a bit trickier to locate, so my best advice is to focus on getting your limit in the boat first, then keep your head in the game because that big bite can come at any hour of the day.
